Galaxy S25 FE for $6/mo at AT&T: How it works

AT&T is offering a simple, low-commitment offer on Samsung’s Galaxy S25 FE: pay a mere $6 per month on an eligible unlimited pricing plan — no trade-in obligations needed. Given the $650 list price for the phone, the carrier is promising approximately $435 in savings through monthly bill credits, making the effective cost $216 over the term of the agreement.

How the $6-per-month deal really works

The agreement follows AT&T’s typical 36‑month installment plan. You buy the Galaxy S25 FE at its full retail cost on installment, and AT&T will dole out promotional bill credits each month to reduce your net device price to $6. Credits start to kick in after a couple to a few billing cycles; once they do, they retroactively account for any missed credits and normalize the total you paid over the term.

You’ll also have to activate, or keep, an eligible AT&T unlimited plan on that line. Cancel the line, transfer the phone to an ineligible plan or pay off the device early, and the monthly credits cease — with the remaining balance due. That’s how most U.S. carrier “$0” or ultra‑low monthly phone plans work and why that super-low price assumes you will keep service for the whole 36 months.

You’ll be charged sales tax on the entire $650 at checkout in may areas, and also AT&T’s spiffy little one time activation or upgrade fee. A restocking fee can be applied if you return the phone. Credit approval and account status (for 99% of applicants) or, in certain cases, a cosigner may be required.4 You may apply for special financing options at checkout pursuant to the terms of AT&T’s installment program.

Eligibility and fine print to watch

The deal is open to everyone, new and existing customers alike, and perhaps best of all, it doesn’t require a device trade‑in – not exactly typical in this price range. Most lines can earn one discounted device at a time. And if you want to unlock the phone to use it while traveling, keep in mind that AT&T’s policy typically calls for the phone to be paid off completely and the account to have a solid history before an unlock request is approved.

Plan details matter. Unlimited plans vary in terms of hotspot allotments, video resolution caps and the point at which you may be deprioritized. If you’re on an older plan, make sure that your plan is listed as eligible; upgrading to a new plan can change your monthly service price, which will impact the overall value of the deal. As always, save copies of your order summary indicating the amount and the amount of the bill‑credit term.

Is the Galaxy S25 FE worth it for anyone at this price?

The S25 FE fits in Samsung’s lineup as the bigger, value-focused sibling of the entry-level Galaxy S25. It has a 6.7‑inch AMOLED display and a 4,900mAh battery, both larger than the regular S25, as well as a triple‑camera module. Performance is supported by Samsung’s Exynos 2400, not Qualcomm’s flagship silicon, but the phone still supports the marquee Galaxy AI features people love: Generative Edit for photos, Audio Eraser for cleaner recordings and the ability to generate summaries on the device via Now Brief.

At that price, which comes out to an effective $216 over 36 months, the S25 FE is a big step down from the typical U.S. midrange price range. Industry trackers point out that most carrier financing now reaches 36 months across the board, so the term here is not that unusual. If you like long battery life, a big screen, and Samsung’s current AI suite, all without breaking the bank, this is one of the most competitive mainstream offers on a national carrier right now.

There are trade‑offs. Heavy gamers or frequent 4K video editors will feel the glaring difference between Exynos 2400 Top Tier of Qualcomm but that would be very few people. But for everyday use — social media, streaming, photography, travel help — the FE’s offerings are intended to be as close to flagship-level as they can be, which it’s what makes this promo stand out.

AT&T is also promoting 50% discounts on select Samsung accessories with the purchase of certain Samsung connected devices, like tablets and smartwatches. Smartphones do not qualify for that accessory discount, but it’s a nice stack to consider if you’re also grabbing a Galaxy Watch or a Galaxy Tab in that same shopping window.

Bottom line

If you’re willing to keep an eligible AT&T unlimited plan active for the full 36 months and don’t need best-of-the-very-best performance, the Galaxy S25 FE is an excellent value buy at $6 a month. Crunch the numbers with your plan, keep your order paperwork, and your reward is a large‑screen Samsung with modern AI tools delivered to your door for a fraction of typical midrange pricing.
