Meta is launching Hyperscape, a capture-and-render pipeline that can take real-world rooms and turn them into photorealistic virtual environments. According to the company, Quest 3 and Quest 3S presale owners over the age of 18 can now start capturing their space in minutes with Hyperscape Capture Early Access, returning a high-fidelity VR replica once cloud processing has wrapped up.

At launch, users can record and revisit their own environments solo. Multi-user access is in the works: Meta says sharing will be through a private link so friends or partners can join one another in the same digitized space.
