Is FindArticles free?

Yes. The site is completely free to use, with no account required, no ads, and no paywalls.

Do you store my searches?

No. We don't log search queries, set tracking cookies, or run analytics. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Why did I get different results than Google Scholar / PubMed?

Every search engine uses its own ranking algorithms and indexes different subsets of the literature. We query OpenAlex, arXiv, Crossref, Europe PMC, DOAJ, CORE, OpenAIRE, and NASA ADS — overlapping but distinct from Scholar. For a thorough search, it's always worth checking multiple tools.

Can I download the PDF of an article from here?

No — we link to the publisher's page. If the article is open access, you'll be able to download it from there. If it's paywalled, the publisher will prompt you to log in or purchase.

Why are some results missing abstracts?

Not all sources return abstracts in their API responses. Crossref, for example, depends on whether the publisher supplied the abstract when registering the DOI. We display what's available.

Can I suggest a new source?

Yes — please contact us. We prioritize sources that are free, open, reliable, and add unique coverage.

Do you have an API?

How do I cite a result I found through FindArticles?

Cite the original article, not FindArticles. Follow the citation style required by your publication or institution. The publisher's page usually offers a "cite this" button.
