Enquiry into ageing

Mental Health Nursing,  Nov 2004

The Mental Health Inquiry, jointly led by Age Concern and the Mental Health Foundation, is calling for evidence on the mental health and well-being of older people. This is a much-neglected area of research and in an ageing population, it is vital for us to gain a better understanding of the issues.

The three year Inquiry urges health professionals and organisations support its investigation into health promotion and older people's mental health. We need to find out how well-being and health is achieved and maintained in later life.

Submitted evidence will be used to make recommendations for ways to improve older people's mental health and well-being. The deadline for responses is 19 November. To submit evidence, please visit www.mhilli.org
