Mental Health Nursing,  May 2000

CPNA News

The CPNA is on the internet with a website launched at the annual training conference in March (see supplement in the centre of the journal). It is the ideal way for new and potential members to familiarise themselves with the CPNA and regulars to get the latest news and background information.

The 'site' gives a picture of what the CPNA is, what it is doing and who the elected officers are. There is news and links to other sites such as MSF and CPHVA, government departments, mental health charities and publications such as Nursing Arnes.

On-Line Mental Health Nursing, the 'electronic' version of the CPNA journal will carry up-to-date news and papers from previous issues.

Professional officer Brian Rogers said the development was an important step in increasing the profile of the CPNA and providing access to its activities and resources.

"We realise that not everyone uses a PC or has internet access but it is increasingly common. We feel this development is essential for the CPNA to keep pace with the exchange of information in contemporary society."
