How Americans Can Get Their Constitution Back

As of Sept. 17, 2000, the Constitution of the United States has been in effect for 213 years, which I believe marks the real birth of our country.

The federal government observed the restrictions that the Constitution imposed on activities of the government in Washington, D.C., until the early 1900s when the 16th and 17th Amendments were ratified and the Federal Reserve system was created.

Since then, there has been an enormous change in attitudes concerning the United States Constitution. Currently, the people of the United States have allowed the federal government to violate the restrictions of the Constitution virtually at will.

How has this happened?

The primary cause, I believe, is that the basics of our government are not being taught in our government schools (which are controlled by the federal government via federal government aid to education). It is because of this deliberate policy of imposed ignorance that the federal government gets away with wholesale violations of the United States Constitution.

I urge every reader of this letter to reread the Constitution of the United States and reflect on how much the federal government violates constitutional restrictions (some estimates state that up to 80% of what we allow the federal government to do is unconstitutional).

Then I recommend everybody to act by calling and writing your federal representative and both of your federal senators and demand a return to strict observance of the United States Constitution by our federal government.

Schippers Confirms What People Suspected

David Schippers confirms what most Republicans have long suspected [HUMAN EVENTS, August 25, cover]. The leaders of the party have their own agenda. In the matter of Clinton's impeachment trial in the Senate, the Constitution and the welfare of the nation are not as important to them as preserving the power of the permanent Demopublican Government party and the ever-growing bureaucracy.

Thanks to Mr. Schippers we know the names of the Republican senators who wanted Bill Clinton to remain in power in arrogant contempt of the deep beliefs of the vast majority of Republican voters and in disregard of the welfare of the nation. They demonstrated open contempt for their oaths to God to consider the evidence that resulted in the impeachment of Clinton in the House of Representatives.

The same Republican leadership is undoubtedly the reason nothing has ever been done to abolish many useless and wasteful government agencies and affirmative action, nothing to control immigration or rein in dangerous hacks like Janet Reno and Bill Lan Lee-typical of a host of racist and/or incompetent department heads, judges and bureaucrats appointed by Clinton.

And let us not forget the deafening silence of the Republican leadership during the disgraceful kidnapping and isolation of Elian Gonzalez.

However, everything else pales in comparison to the betrayal of the heroic House impeachment managers by the Senate Republican leadership who, for reasons that demand an explanation, preserved in office the worst President in American history.

The man most responsible for this affair is the Republican majority leader in the Senate. Among those who also played leading roles were Senators Stevens of Alaska and Domenici of New Mexico. We are waiting to hear from them and from all of the others cited by David Schippers.

Boy Scouts Good, Homosexuality Bad

The Boy Scouts learn self-discipline, self-assurance, helpfulness, sobriety, and Judeo-Christian moral values. "Morally straight" means no heterosexual sex until marriage, and no homosexual sex whatever.

Contrast this with what is taught in our public schools. Discipline comes from a medicine bottle (Ritalin). Binge drinking is winked at. Both heterosexual sex and homosexual sex are promoted, in spite of an epidemic of sexually transmitted diseases. Condoms are ineffective against two of the most common diseases, herpes and genital warts. Genital warts is the most common cause of cervical cancer. Sex and alcohol are no big deal; however, we must keep kids away from those nasty cigarettes.

One more Supreme Court justice appointed by Clinton/Gore, and the Boy Scouts will be forced to hire homosexual scoutmasters. If the ACLU has its way, one of their clients, "The North American Man-Boy Love Association," will be eligible for scoutmaster positions along with other homosexuals.

Linda Tripp Now Vindicated

Linda Tripp was vindicated. Maryland prosecutor Stephen Montanarelli dropped the wiretap case against her.

She blew the whistle on Bill Clinton's affair with Monica Lewinsky by taping telephone calls with her. Tripp did it to protect herself. In reality, there was no case against her.

Top Defense Department public affairs officials violated Linda Tripp's privacy rights by releasing information from her personnel file to a reporter in 1998. No doubt they got their orders from the White House.
