CMS installs design facilities for tower

Real Estate Weekly,  August 28, 2002

CMS Innovative Consultants announced that it has completed a major assignment for its client Ernst & Young LLP, a leading professional services firm, at the firm's new 37-story office tower in Times Square in New York City. CMS, a prominent audiovisual design consulting firm, designed and implemented an array of state-of-the-art audiovisual and conference facilities on eight floors of Ernst & Young's new headquarters. Ernst & Young says the new meeting rooms will greatly enhance its client-service capabilities.

CMS also announced that it has been retained by Ernst & Young for similar audiovisual-design projects at the firm's Houston office and its Broad Street Security and Technology Solutions Center in New York City.

"We are proud of the facilities we designed for Ernst & Young, because we brought to this project more than 30 years' experience in the audiovisual industry designing, engineering and managing thousands of major systems and facilities," said Andrew J. Costello, principal of CMS and head of the Ernst & Young project team. "The result is a unique system of conference rooms and audiovisual facilities that fit Ernst & Young's special requirements and blend in seamlessly with the modern and tasteful design of its new headquarters building."

Ernst & Young has dedicated an entire floor of its 37-story headquarters as a conference center, in addition to smaller conference and "teaming" rooms on each of the other floors in its new building. CMS said Ernst & Young's 23rd floor conference center contains 11 separate facilities, including small, medium and large conference rooms, a boardroom, a divisible conference room and a reception area. CMS coordinated the development of the conference facilities with interior design architects Gensler & Associates.
