Walgreens

Drug Store News,  Oct 10, 2005  by Michael Johnsen

Walgreens acquired the Theragran-M brand name from Bristol-Myers Squibb last month for an undisclosed amount. The dietary supplement line will be sold exclusively in Walgreens stores beginning mid-month.

This marks the second over-the-counter brand to be sold to a drug store retailer--CVS bought the rights to the Nuprin analgesic line from BMS in 2003. CVS since has expanded that store-exclusive brand into cough-cold, allergy and external analgesics. CVS recently introduced Nuprin Menstrual Relief, merchandised opposite Midol in the feminine hygiene aisle.
