In a bid to make its 813 photo departments more attractive to consumers, Target has begun making video-to-DVD and CD-transferring services available at most of its one-hour photo labs.
Customers can drop off home videos and pick them up 14 days later as customized DVDs or CDs.
In addition to the transferred video, the digitized disks are indexed with 54 mages taken from the home video, making it easy for viewers to skip directly to the scene they want.
The service is available through an agreement with San Jose, Calif.-based Yes Video, a video technology compression company.
