Church & Dwight

Drug Store News,  May 20, 2002  by Michael Johnsen

Church & Dwight cited in a conference with securities analysts May 6 that its newly acquired Trojan and First Response OTC brands were key contributors to its 23.1 percent rise in net income during the first quarter. The company reported first quarter net income of $14.9 million.

Brad Casper, president of Church & Dwight's Armkel business unit, noted that unit volume of the Trojan business was up more than 7 percent in the first quarter. Last month, the company introduced Trojan Her Pleasure brand, and a line of Trojan personal lubricants. The First Response pregnancy test kit business was up 17 percent, Casper added.
