Drug Store News, May 20, 2002
* An April 29 story should have stated that Walgreens, which wrote the first e-prescription software in 1992, was the first chain to enable all of its pharmacies to send and receive prescription data electronically. Giant Foods of Landover, Md., should have been noted as among the first chains to enable its pharmacies to receive e-prescriptions and to be able to send refill requests electronically.
* Schnuck Markets should have been listed in the rankings of top supermarket pharmacy retailers in the April 29 issue. The St. Louis-based chain operates 102 supermarkets, including 90 with pharmacies. Schnuck's $180 million in pharmacy sales in 2001 make it the supermarket industry's 15th largest pharmacy operation.
