Byrd named Palm Restaurant Group's Operator of the Year

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Lance Byrd, general manager of the Palm Restaurant in San Antonio, has been named Operator of the Year for the 28-unit Palm Restaurant Group, based here.

A seven-year veteran with the company, Byrd joined the Palm in San Antonio in 2005 and was promoted to general manger in early 2006. He was selected by Walter McClure, chief operating officer and executive vice president for the parent company, and Jeff Phillips, senior vice president of operations, based on his performance on regional manager evaluation scores, profit-loss ratio, guest relations, marketing evaluations and secret-shopper results.
