Portland, Oregon's Dandys take an interesting angle on their fifth full-length release--the quartet grabs ahold of simple guitar-driven pop songs and stretches them like taffy to surprising lengths. Four of the 12 tracks ramble past the seven-minute mark; they're packed with squawking horns and electronic beeps that mingle nicely with the band's sand-smooth guitars and often clever lyrics.
