60th Anniversary
The Women's Color Photo Club of Minneapolis (Minnesota) recently celebrated its 60th anniversary. The last remaining charter member, Thelma Beers, APSA, is still an active participant in camera club activities and in PSA. She is over 90 years of age and attended the annual conference last month (Her mother had also been an active member of the club well into her 90's).
The Women's Color Photo Club of Minneapolis is a relatively small club with 24 active members and 7 affiliate members. The club joined PSA in May of 1945.
Measurement Standards
The PSA Journal has a policy of converting all metric usage in articles from our non-domestic writers just as we change to U.S. English spelling, U.S. money equivalent, etc. In the August issue (Pixel Corner), the Journal converted author Rohde's metric usage in error. Our apologies to Dr. Rohde: his use of metric was an entirely different situation.
Giving to PSA
Many members of the Society wish to help PSA fulfill its important purposes by donating to the various funds of the Society, including making memorial remembrances. Your donations are much appreciated and you will wish to know that the preferred fund for all donations at the present time is the Greater PSA Development Fund, thus all undesignated contributions are assigned to that fund.
Members will know that some funds are hampered by extremely low interest which can not be raised at this time. It is hoped that donors will designate the above fund or that donors will allow Headquarters staff to make the fund choice. Send all donations to PSA Headquarters, please.
Greater PSA Development Fund
This fund functions as an endowment for the Society, designed to strengthen PSA over a long period of time,
General Operating Fund
