He's a Stepford wife

Progressive, The,  Oct, 2004

Turner Broadcasting System is launching a new show--He's a Lady--that will give men a chance to empathize with women. "Each week the competitors will learn something new about what it's like to live as a lady, from dealing with bras and jewelry to bonding with real women in typically all-female activities," a press release for the show stated.

"Weekly challenges for the competitors will include learning how to behave like a lady, followed by going out in public to find out how convincing they are; being trained how to be a supermodel; planning a real wedding and then being asked to serve as the bridesmaids; and, finally, completing a multitasking challenge back in their hometowns where the guys must remain in character in front of their family and friends." These men will be duped into thinking they're on a different show called All American Man, with a $250,000 grand prize as the incentive.
