A call to action

Interview,  August, 2007  by Jessica Watlington

Dear Interview,

I've just read a letter to the editor in your June issue that deals with the subject of AIDS and the toll it has taken on the creative community. The writer asked what they could do to help. If he or she is serious about this, there are many things on the Internet that they can do. Signing on with www.one.org is a good place to start. I have signed the declaration myself, and thus far it seems to be helping, as one by one more people unite around the world. Also, wear a One wristband, and tell people about a cause you believe in, like I do. There are others, like www.joinred.com, in which the Gap and other companies take monies and direct them to the Global Fund to help those with HIV/AIDS, malaria, TB, etc. So if the reader who wrote the letter sees this, here are a few things that he or she can do to help. This stuff does work.
