Interview,  Oct, 2006  by D. Teaneck Mazzano,  D. MacDonald,  B. Nieleon,  S. Campeau

Dear Interview,

I loved Scissor Sisters's first album, Scissor Sisters, and have been hungrily awaiting their follow-up ever since. I wouldn't have thought it possible, but reading the interview with them in your August music extravaganza only made me hungrier for the record. I'm typically not that much of an obsessive music fan, but every once in a while an album comes along that attaches itself to my ear, and that I listen to exclusively for months on end. The Sisters first disc was that for me, and I have a hunch their next will be exactly the same. Thanks for a great interview.

D. MAZZANO Teaneck, NJ

Dear Interview,

I've never had the pleasure of seeing Scissor Sisters perform live but I love the energy of their music. So when the band says that what they love doing is playing like it's the last day on earth, well, not only can I imagine how totally true this must be, but I'm already primed to get in line and buy tickets for the next show (which I hope will be soon, soon, soon)! I also wanted to say that in addition to his many extraordinary talents, Elton John is a kick-ass journalist!

D. MACDONALD Via the Internet

Dear Interview,

I know it's not exactly the magazine's style, but if you ever decide to do your own version of the "sexiest man alive" issue, I'd like to cast my vote for Jake Shears--the guy makes me weak.

B. NIELSON Via the Internet

Dear Interview,

I'm just writing to say that I think Scissor Sisters are the freshest, most exciting act to come along in a long time, and that it's a feeling that's shared by many people I know. I'm sure Elton John is right when he says that the album didn't do as well as it should have in this country, or that it wasn't embraced here with the kind of enthusiasm it was in England, but the Brits definitely aren't ahead of all of us.
