It's back; this spring, there's only one way to go: up

If you feel something creeping up your leg this spring, it may Just be your hemline. This season proved to be a maxi moment for the mini, one of life's perennial favorites since its debut way back in fashion folklore. Since then, designers, scientists, engineers, and other fans of life's little pleasures have found crafty ways to mini-mize all kinds of Things (from your telephone to your snack foods), giving them the same kind of concentrated thrill that sightings of the world's first miniskirts must have elicited, and providing more proof that good things--except maybe ice cream--really do come in small packages.
