An aging hit man (Duvall) gets a job knocking off an Argentine general and finds himself drawn into the world of a beautiful tango dancer (his real-life girlfriend, Luciana Pedraza). While writer-director-producer Duvall is brilliant as the assassin, a promising premise falls apart when Tango steps from compelling character study to unthrilling thriller.
