Oscar gold: a look worth its weight in
Interview, April, 2003 by Tony Moxham
In the natural world, camouflage and surprise are two of the most important and valuable of abilities. In the very wild worlds of film and fashion, the same can often be said. This month, given the flurry of social, cultural, historical, and financial interest in all things Oscaresque, the color gold functions cleverly as a fitting homage to Tinseltown's greatest trophy (and coolest doorstop), while at the same time retaining its overwhelming power to bewitch, blow away, and bedazzle those it makes contact with.
