Donn Swaby - Interview

Interview,  Sept, 2000  by Michael Musto

Having done classical theater, how does Donn Swaby think Passions compares to Shakespeare? "Honestly, not close," says the New York-born actor, "but it's a good place to get a lot of exposure. This is a place to hone my craft for the next several years and refine my instrument." Swaby plays Chad Harris, an ambitious young guy in search of his biological parents.

"I guess the show's touting me as one of the hunks," he says. "But I get off on people noticing my talent." In Donn's case that talent ranges from playing guitar in a rock band to writing essays, short stories, and plays. Actors he admires? Edward Norton and Samuel L. Jackson.
