Erin Brockovich. - Review - movie review

Interview,  March, 2000  by Amy Gwiazda

Directed by Steven Soderbergh

The perky curls and killer smile are still in evidence, but Julia Roberts finally gets the chance to use them for more than luring men. In her dramatic dream role as a divorced mother of three working as a file clerk at a small law firm, Roberts stumbles on a cover-up and, despite having no legal training, takes on a public utility giant responsible for making hundreds ill. With the canny Soderbergh at the helm and a strong supporting cast that includes Albert Finney and Aaron Eckhart, this fact-based story should rise above the usual Grisham-ite fare.
