Tacoma punk drummer Neko Case may be, as one song title states, in a "Mood to Burn Bridges," but on her new CD she doesn't break connections, she makes them. Country music is obviously not a hobby with Case; it's her deceptively effortless shot at high art, each tune alternately smokey and barbed-wire taut with more than a taste of rainforest melancholy.
