Memphis Bleek

Interview,  July, 2003  by Malcolm Venable

M.A.D.E. (Roc-A-Fella)

This reaching third effort from Roc-A-Fella lieutenant Bleek is a diverse menu of rock, bhangra, and smooth R&B. Jay-Z makes the requisite cameo, but Trick Daddy and Lil' Cease are unexpected confetti. And never mind Bleek's fleeting literary elan; his furious motorcycle raps flow from sentimental to smoked-out, laid over a melange of layered beats that are sure to keep heads bopping.
