The Lower Manhattan Development Corporation recently selected New York's Drawing Center to relocate to the World Trade Center site as part of a new cultural hub planned for the area

Art in America,  Sept, 2004

The Lower Manhattan Development Corporation recently selected New York's Drawing Center to relocate to the World Trade Center site as part of a new cultural hub planned for the area. The Drawing Center's program, submitted by director Catherine de Zegher, was chosen from proposals by more than 100 arts organizations seeking to be part of the projected $400-600-million initiative.

Also chosen for the project were the Joyce International Dance Center, the Signature Theater and a new Freedom Center, which encompasses a museum dedicated to 9/11.
