Various, Mud Acres: Music Among Friends

Sing Out! The Folk Song Magazine,  Winter, 2006  by Mike Regenstreif

VARIOUS, Mud Acres: Music Among Friends, (Rounder 3001). In 1972, a bunch of musical friends from the Woodstock, N.Y. region recorded the folk, blues, bluegrass and Gospel songs that they'd been sharing in each others living rooms. Lead vocals shifted from Happy and Artie Traum, Jim Rooney, Maria Muldaur, John Herald, Eric Kaz and Lee Berg.

Additional musicians on the delightful set included banjo legend Bill Keith and bassist Tony Brown.
