Lower blood pressure: grape seed shows promise - Natural Medicine - grape seed extract - Brief Article
Natural Health, Sept, 2003
IF YOU LOVE SALT BUT NEED TO CUT back because of high blood pressure, grape seed extract may be for you. Preliminary research suggests that if you have a diet high in sodium, taking 100 to 400 mg of grape seed extract (Vitis vinifera) can significantly lower your blood pressure, according to scientists at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
This was a limited animal study, so more research is needed. If you have high blood pressure, talk to your doctor.
