The narration is informative, interesting and well paced. We see many of Pippin's paintings, including his memories of the war. His forceful and direct artworks are created from his heart as he shows striking color and originality. He explains how his art expression began when he picked up a hot poker and burned images into a wood board. The video includes a great number of his paintings--The Domino Players, John Brown On the Way to Being Executed, The Victorian Parlor and more. Recognized in his lifetime by the Museum of Modern Art, Pippin's work reflects his strong feeling of a world in which "There will be peace."
