Axelle Fine Arts opens San Fran gallery

SAN FRANCISCO--Axelle Fine Arts, a New York-based art publisher and gallery chain, has opened a new, 3,000-square-foot gallery in Union Square. "The 130- by 22-foot corridor space is perfect for an art gallery," said Bertrand Delacroix, company president.
Axelle Fine Arts Galerie de l'Europe is located at 434 Post Street. To the left of the gallery is Morton's of Chicago, the Disney Store, Powell Street and Saks Fifth Avenue. To the right is Gallery 444, Faralon restaurant, a theatre, the Kensington Hotel and a medical dental building housing the offices of several hundred doctors. Housed in the six stories above the gallery is a boutique hotel, The Union Square Inn, which is decorated with work by Axelle's artists.
