AORN Journal, March, 2002
AORN's 49th annual Congress is a wonderful opportunity for professional growth and development. Attendees can earn contact hours by attending education sessions, viewing research and clinical improvement/innovation posters, and participating in education offered on the exhibit floor. Following is important information and updates about the many education opportunities available at Congress.
CONTACT HOURS FOR BOTH FORUMS AND FOR DELEGATES
All attendees will earn 0.9 contact hours for attending both Forums. Delegates will receive independent studies equaling the number of contact hours they are unable to earn while attending business meetings of the Association. Each delegate will receive an independent study packet free of charge when exiting the voting area. Alternate delegates may pick up their packet at the Member Resources Counter near the registration area on Thursday, April 25, from 7 AM to 4 PM. Take the packet home, complete it within eight weeks of the close of Congress, and return the answer sheet and evaluation to Headquarters. Upon successful completion of the test, delegates and alternate delegates will be awarded 9.9 contact hours--the number of contact hours they cannot earn while participating in Association business. These independent studies are valid for delegates and alternate delegates only.
