ELECTRONIC JOB BULLETIN BOARD
Are you at a crossroads in your career? Are you underemployed, unemployed, or moving to another location, or do you just need a change? AORN Opportunity again will have the Electronic Job Bulletin Board (EJBB) at Congress with a listing of nursing jobs nationwide. Exhibiting companies may list their open sales, education, and marketing positions on the EJBB as well. The EJBB will be available on computer stations at the AORN Opportunity booth and throughout the Anaheim Convention Center. Congress participants will be able to gain access via computer to available listings of nursing positions. If you see a job you like, print it on the laser printer and contact the employer at your convenience, or meet on-site representatives from the various employers by contacting them via the convention Message Center. Last year, there were more than 700 nursing positions listed on the EJBB. Starting March 18, 2002, you may list a position by completing the facility/industry or recruiter application online at http://www.aorn/jobs/post or contact Sharon Wasson at (800) 755-2676 x 225 or swasson@ aorn.org.
AORN OPPORTUNITY
If you have interim management, education, or on-site consultation needs, please stop by the AORN Opportunity booth to receive more information. You also may contact Eileen Ullmann at (800) 755-2676 x 313 or eullmann@aorn.org.
This year, a management consultant service provides a unique offering for managers to meet individually with AORN Opportunity consultants to discuss today's most challenging management issues. Sessions will be held in a private, professional environment with the consultant of your choice. Each consultant will lend his or her time and expertise to focus on your management concerns, such as strategic planning, partnerships, accreditation, risk management, personnel issues, financial management, services, and more.
The management consulting center will be located at the Marriott Hotel and will be open from 9 AM to 3 PM beginning Sunday, April 21, through Wednesday, April 24. The fee for a 30-minute consultation is $30 for AORN members and $45 for nonmembers. Appointments will be made at the AORN Opportunity booth on a first-come basis.
