Videos review AORN's proposed position statements

AORN has created several videos outlining the Association's proposed positions on important practice issues to help perioperative nurses be better informed and prepared to participate in discussions at their next chapter meetings and at Congress. The videos review how and why the proposed position statements were developed and what stance AORN is taking on seven different important practice issues, including

* entry into practice,

* orientation in the OR,

* safe on-call practices,

* care of patients with implanted electronic devices,

* fire prevention,

* the role of the scrub person, and

* staffing ratios.

The videos can be viewed at http://www.bluesky broadcast.com/Client/AORN/. In addition, a CD-ROM of all of the videos was sent to every AORN chapter to assist in facilitating meaningful discussion at upcoming chapter meetings.
