Illinois coordinator invites attendees to Chicago for the 50th annual Congress: Sunday, March 23, to Thursday, March 27, 2003 - Volunteer Coordinator - Brief Article

AORN Journal,  Jan, 2003  by Cathy Fenton

To most people, March madness conjures up images of the annual college basketball tournament being held throughout the United States. To thousands of perioperative nurses, however, March madness signifies the excitement and anticipation of attending the 50th annual AORN Congress to be held at McCormick Place in Chicago, March 23 to March 27, 2003.

On behalf of the proud volunteers, not only from Illinois but also from all 50 states, we welcome Congress attendees to Illinois, the heart of America. Volunteers will serve as education session assistants and resource people to answer questions or direct you to the appropriate person, as necessary. We are excited to be the host state for this important milestone Congress. Session attendee volunteers will be identified easily as they will be wearing gold scarves.

Come experience firsthand the past 50 years of AORN excellence. See how half a century of AORN's leadership and vision has taken us to reality. We, the volunteers, are anxiously awaiting your arrival to the world-class city of Chicago in March 2003.
