Brain protection

Curcumin--the compound that gives curry its yellow color may activate a key enzyme that protects the brain against oxidation. Excess oxidation of brain cells is suspected as a major factor in aging and neurodegenerative disorders. The research was presented at the American Physiological Society's annual scientific conference, held April 17-21 of this year.
