Soy and baby

Better Nutrition,  March, 2005

Soy and Baby: Two studies--both funded by the USDA and the Illinois Council on Food and Agricultural Research--found that the soy isoflavone genistein, in amounts present in commercial soy infant formulas, may inhibit intestinal cell growth in babies. Almost 25 percent of formula-fed American babies get soy formula.
