For those not wanting the sole initial ownership costs and maintenance fees of a motorhome, American Quartercoach offers individual owners three-year contracts with timeshare allotments. Owners, for example, can purchase 1/8 share with five weeks utilization a year or 1/4 share with 12 weeks utilization.
At the conclusion of the contract, the motorhome is sold and the remaining equity divided among the owners. The program involves a monthly management service fee providing for indoor storage, maintenance, cleaning, insurance, roadside assistance, drop-off, and pickup.
