TELECOMWORLDWIRE-1 May 2001-Digital Rum and Webraska collaborate on location-relevant mobile shopping service (C)1994-2001 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com

The UK mobile commerce systems developer Digital Rum and the French wireless navigation services provider Webraska have teamed up to launch a new range of m-commerce applications with built-in location and navigation support.

The applications, which combine Digital Rum's mobile shopping and ticketing technology and Webraska's expertise in mobile navigation systems, are designed to enable consumers - regardless of time and place - to find the closest store and to get pricing information via their mobile phone. In addition the system will allow the consumer to request street-level maps and directions to that store.
