Air Jamaica announces ticket price increase

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2004 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
Air Jamaica has announced an increase in ticket prices in an attempt to counter a sharp rise in fuel costs.
Under the increase, passengers will now be required to pay up to JMD2,400 more for travel between the Caribbean and the US, as well as for travel within the region.
Higher fuel prices have forced the airline to pay JMD252m over its budget in the first quarter of 2004, reported The Associated Press.
