Goodrich, Honeywell and Matsushita win contracts for Boeing's 7E7 Dreamliner

Goodrich Corporation (NYSE: GR) and Honeywell are to provide the exterior lights for Boeing's new 7E7 Dreamliner aircraft.
Goodrich Hella Aerospace Lighting Systems is to provide runway turn-off and taxi lights as well as wing illumination, cargo handling lights and logo lights (the lights that illuminate the airline logo on the vertical stabiliser). Honeywell will provide signalling technology for the aircraft's navigation and anti-collision lighting system.
The contract is reportedly the seventh for Goodrich technology for the Boeing 7E7, as the company will also provide the wheels and electric braking system, nacelles and thrust reversers, proximity sensing system, the fuel quantity indicating system and the fuel management software for the 7E7.
Honeywell, a maker of cockpit electronics, has said that the latest agreement, its fourth for the 7E7, could be worth as much as USD2.6bn over the life of the aircraft.
Boeing has also said that Matsushita Avionics Systems Corporation has won the contract for the 7E7's cabin services system. Matsushita's cabin services system reportedly provides the digital interface to the common core system for cabin amenities. These include the passenger address system, cabin lighting, electronic dimmable windows and the emergency evacuation system.
No financial details have been disclosed by Boeing.
