Delta Air Lines, a US carrier, is to reduce its flight schedule by an average of 2.7% through 1Q'2001.
The airline says the reduction is due to problems with pilot shortages and varies across different markets. This month Delta will cut one daily round-trip flight between Atlanta and both Newark and Tampa, and one between Jackson and Shreveport. In February Delta will cut about 4% of its schedule, followed by a further reduction of 3.5% in March.
