US online banking set to grow according to Financial Insite report

The number of US households that are either banking or paying bills online will grow from 20% in 2001 to 33% in 2005, according to a Financial Insite report.
The company goes on to state that there were 20m households conducting online banking or bill payment in September 2001, a number that is expected to rise to between 24m and 25m in 2002. Similarly, only 0.6% of consumer banking was carried out online in 2001. The figure for 2005 is predicted to be more like 17.6%.
